hunter: computer-mediated L2 technical writing

Using IT forces writing instruction towards
strategies which should have been used long ago.

1. Case-based needs analysis for L2 English technical writing
Learners of L2 English technical writing have specific, narrow goals.

2. Application of Hunter's (2001) 'rational planning' model
For analysis I use the CALL planning flowchart which I developed in 2001:

3. Curriculum design: Computer-mediated / face-to-face / hard-soft
IT in writing instruction both solves old problems, presents new ones.
Face-to-face aspect is still essential.
